About Laxmi
Lives just outside the city in Tarakeshwor; commutes daily for the workshop hours. Like everyone in our workshop, Laxmi earns above the regional rate and has steady work the year round. Most handicraft export in South Asia runs on piece-work. Ours does not.
Craft & specialism
Laxmi’s focus is Sewing, garments. She is one of more than 50 artisans who hand-make everything we ship to shops and private-label brands in 80-plus countries. Every piece goes out with an origin card naming its maker and home district. Buy from us and you can show your own customers, in writing, who made what they bought.
